Backstop Expands its Leadership Team with the Addition of Four Senior Executives
Chicago, September 18, 2015 - Backstop Solutions Group, a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for the institutional investment industry, announces that Mike Porter, Andy Phillips, Craig Haskins and Steve Lukes have joined the company in strategic leadership roles.

Porter, who joined in June as Senior Vice President of Global Field Operations, will lead Backstop's sales, marketing, relationship management and field operations teams. Prior to joining Backstop, Porter held a variety of leadership roles in the technology space, including 14 years at Microsoft, and was most recently the Vice President of Americas at Progress Software. At Backstop, Porter will be responsible for building and executing the company's strategy and ensuring it aligns to the most pressing needs of Backstop's existing customers and the overall institutional investment community.

Lukes, who joined Backstop in August as VP of Institutional Sales, Central Region, brings over twenty years of experience in team leadership capacities and direct selling of technology solutions in the Financial vertical. Lukes has helped companies achieve their desired goals in areas of Enterprise Risk, Algorithmic Trading Solutions, and Network Performance Analytics and Security, and has twice successfully built up sales teams that had responsibilities throughout the Americas.
Phillips, who joins as VP of Solutions Consulting, comes from Advent Software, where he spent eight years and most recently lead efforts to hire, train and support Advent's global sales team. At Backstop, Phillips will leverage his deep industry knowledge to continue Backstop's focus and excellence in buy-side research management.
Haskins, who joins as Director of Relationship Management, also comes from Advent Software where he was a leader in Relationship Management and Customer Success Management since starting with the firm in 2009. Haskins started his career in banking working for JP Morgan, Bankers Trust Co., now Deutsche Bank, and BNY Mellon, before transitioning to the software/vendor side of financial services in 2002.
